About the role#
This 4-month co-op position within the Risk Modelling Services team offers exposure to life actuarial work. You will work alongside experienced actuaries on projects involving valuation, pricing, financial reporting, and capital management. The role involves supporting insurance companies, reinsurance firms, and government agencies while gaining insight into regulatory requirements and risk management.
What you'll do#
- Provide support for IFRS 17 financial statement audits, including methodology assessments and data validation.
- Assist with actuarial consulting services such as model development, model validation, and product pricing.
- Participate in business development and ad-hoc projects, including process automation and finance modernization.
- Engage in cross-functional projects with teams across Financial Services Consulting, Advisory, Tax, and Data & Analytics.
- Collaborate directly with experienced professionals on valuation, pricing, and financial reporting tasks.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Actively working towards a CIA or SOA designation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with data analytic tools like Alteryx or Tableau and programming languages such as Python, SQL, or VBA.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent command of the French language is required.
