About the role#
The Private Markets Investment Intern will support the investment team at the Public School and Education Employee Retirement System of Missouri. This internship provides exposure to institutional investment programs with a specific focus on private equity and private credit asset classes. Interns will work directly with the Private Markets team to support the oversight of approximately $14 billion in assets.
What you'll do#
- Assist with private equity and private credit investment activities.
- Participate in the underwriting, management, and monitoring of the Private Markets Portfolio.
- Work closely with members across the broader Private Markets team on diverse projects.
- Complete high-impact tasks and assignments as directed by the Investment Officer.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university degree program for Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Foundational knowledge of finance and investment principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong skills in preparing professional reports and presentations.
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with staff.
