About the role#
As an Investment Intern, you will support a high-performing institutional investment program responsible for managing approximately $65 billion in assets. You will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer, the Investment Operations Manager, and Senior Portfolio Managers. This position provides hands-on experience across multiple asset classes, including public equity, private credit, real estate, and hedged strategies. You will contribute to the long-term financial security of Missouri’s public education employees while gaining exposure to the operations of a large-scale investment department.
What you'll do#
- Support analytical and operational activities for the investment team.
- Conduct investment research across various asset classes.
- Perform data analysis and generate reports.
- Assist with special projects essential to daily investment operations.
- Prepare clear reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.
- Maintain organized physical and electronic files.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, business administration, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- A solid understanding of finance and investment concepts.
- Familiarity with financial analysis methods.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A desire to earn the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
