About the role#
Provo City is hiring a Survey Intern to join the Engineering Division. This part-time role supports our municipal survey team and provides experience in public sector engineering. You will work 15-25 hours per week during the school year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer. Working hours are Monday through Thursday, between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
What you'll do#
- Complete projects for the Engineering Division and Survey Team.
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to map surveys.
- Review subdivision plats.
- Support the survey crew and other department staff.
- Handle additional duties as required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program for Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related field. We give preference to students studying Surveying.
- A valid, lawful driver license at the time of appointment.
- Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
- Comfort working in environments that may involve public contact during difficult or stressful circumstances.

- Location: Provo, Utah.
- Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour based on qualifications.
- Employment type: Part-time.
- This position requires a successful drug screen and criminal background check.
