About the role#
As a law intern at our Longueuil office, you will support the lawyers within our litigation department. You will assist the team with research and documentation to help prepare for legal proceedings and case management.
What you'll do#
- Perform jurisprudential and doctrinal research for litigation files.
- Analyze laws, case law, doctrine, and insurance policies.
- Manage files related to litigious claims.
- Draft case summaries and interrogation summaries to assist in the preparation of legal opinions.
- Prepare documents for trials, including books of exhibits and books of authorities.
- Assist lawyers with special projects that require legal research and writing.
- Accompany lawyers to interrogations, settlement conferences, and trials.
- Attend court sessions with lawyers for various representations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in law studies.
- Ability to conduct jurisprudential and doctrinal research.
- Aptitude for analyzing laws and case law.
- Proficiency in legal writing.
