About the role#
Project 26 Pennsylvania is expanding its fellowship team for the Fall 2026 semester. This Voter Protection Fellow role supports non-partisan voter protection and student advocacy efforts at Franklin & Marshall College and within the local county. You will work to ensure student voices are represented in conversations with election officials and decision makers.
What you'll do#
- Attend and report on relevant county meetings.
- Build relationships with the county board of election offices.
- Recruit fellow students to serve as poll workers for the Fall 2026 General Election.
- Identify opportunities for direct engagement between students, campus administration, and the board of elections.
- Participate in voter registration drives and create campus specific voter education materials.
- Develop and execute communication and distribution plans for voter information.
- Conduct quality control on voter registrations.
- Monitor county board of election websites, social media, and local press to track changes in election programming.
- Coordinate with other campus fellowship teams and check in regularly with leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Franklin & Marshall College.
- Ability to commit 10 to 15 hours per week.
- Experience voting on campus and participating in issue-focused groups.
- Creative skills in design, communication, and information sharing.
- A desire to advocate for yourself and your peers to local government officials.
- Motivation to increase youth voter turnout and influence decision makers.
- Ability to problem solve and work independently.
- Access to transportation for travel when required.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
- The role is for the Fall 2026 semester.
- Compensation is $18 per hour.
- A travel stipend or mileage reimbursement is provided for role-specific travel.
