About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Mechanical Engineering internship for Summer 2027. You will work alongside experienced mentors in a multi-disciplinary firm to design mechanical systems, including HVAC and plumbing. The program includes project site visits, education sessions, and networking opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to project teams to meet schedules and budgets.
- Manage multiple projects while monitoring progress against scope and resources.
- Provide drafting services and prepare engineering documents that meet company standards.
- Assist with building models, contract documents, and load and equipment sizing analyses.
- Check code compliance and its effect on other disciplines.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and architects on design changes.
- Use Revit, AutoCAD, and BSD Speclink for production and presentation.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an EAC/ABET-accredited Mechanical Engineering Bachelor’s program.
- At least one year of undergraduate studies completed by Summer 2027.
- Strong math, analytical, design, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate well.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Basic knowledge of sustainability and design trends.
- Previous Revit experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Project, SharePoint, and Teams is preferred.
