About the role#
The Summer 2027 Interior Design Intern program provides a full-time, paid experience within a multi-disciplinary firm. You will work alongside mentors on client projects and learn industry tools while gaining a professional network. This role involves project site visits, education sessions, and collaboration with interior designers, project managers, and project architects.
What you'll do#
- Organize and catalog materials, samples, and product literature in the Design Library.
- Develop finish boards and binders during various phases of project development.
- Assist with the preparation of working drawing contract documents, sketches, plans, details, and schedules using Revit.
- Maintain knowledge of current trends and furniture introductions.
- Provide design analysis that follows company standards.
- Prepare design presentation materials and assist designers with client presentations.
- Collaborate with the team to keep the Design Library organized and presentable.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a CIDA-accredited Interior Design or Interior Architecture Bachelor’s degree program.
- Completion of at least one year of undergraduate studies by Summer 2027.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Basic knowledge of sustainability and design trends.
- Strong analytical, design, and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate well.
- Experience with Revit or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Familiarity with Project, SharePoint, and Teams is preferred.
