About the role#
PROCON is looking for an IT Intern to join our team in Hooksett. This role is for someone starting their career in technology who wants hands-on experience in a professional environment. You will work alongside our IT staff to manage day-to-day operations, hardware deployment, and system maintenance. This position offers exposure to desktop support and security practices across our organization.
What you'll do#
- Respond to help desk tickets and handle basic technical support requests.
- Troubleshoot issues with hardware, software, and connectivity under supervision.
- Support desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Set up and configure new user workstations and equipment.
- Install and configure computers and peripheral devices.
- Perform software updates and routine system checks.
- Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and supplies.
- Assist with hardware refreshes and technology rollouts.
- Document IT processes and troubleshooting steps.
- Monitor patches and antivirus software while following security policies.
- Provide professional customer service to employees across all departments.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong interest in building technical and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.
- High attention to detail and a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
