About the role#
PROCON is looking for an IT Intern to join our team in Hooksett. This role is for those starting their IT careers who want hands-on experience. You will work with our IT staff to support daily operations, learn troubleshooting, and assist with system maintenance. This position provides exposure to desktop support, hardware deployment, and internal technology projects.
What you'll do#
- Respond to help desk tickets and basic technical support requests.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues under supervision.
- Support desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Set up and configure new user workstations and equipment.
- Install and configure computers and peripheral devices.
- Support software installations, updates, and routine system checks.
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and supplies.
- Participate in hardware refreshes, system upgrades, and technology rollouts.
- Document IT processes and troubleshooting steps.
- Follow security policies and assist with patching and antivirus monitoring.
- Deliver professional customer service to employees across all departments.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
