About the role#
Primus Aerospace is hiring a Quality Engineering Co-Op for the Fall 2026 term. You will work within our quality assurance team to support inspection processes, continuous improvement, and compliance with industry standards like AS9100 and ISO 9001. This role involves working in both an office setting and on the manufacturing floor.
What you'll do#
- Inspect aerospace components using precision measuring tools.
- Review manufacturing documentation, inspection reports, and quality records.
- Participate in internal audits and quality system activities.
- Collect, analyze, and report on quality metrics and Key Performance Indicators.
- Investigate nonconforming materials and support root cause analysis.
- Assist with Corrective and Preventive Action documentation and First Article Inspection reports.
- Maintain quality records and support calibration tracking.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Aerospace, or Quality Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the facility and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Previous manufacturing or internship experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and GD&T is preferred.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is desirable.
