About the role#
Primus Aerospace is hiring a Manufacturing Co-op for the Fall 2026 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Lakewood, Colorado. You will work alongside engineers and machinists to gain practical experience in aerospace component manufacturing, quality systems, and lean processes within an AS9100 certified environment. This role is paid at an hourly rate of $20 to $24 per hour.
What you'll do#
- Support manufacturing engineers and machinists with setup optimization.
- Develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes for better efficiency and safety.
- Design assembly fixtures for in-house production or 3D printing.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action projects.
- Assist with lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, waste elimination, and scrap reduction.
- Create and update work instructions to align with AS9100 and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with teams across engineering, quality, and operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering degree program.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and standard computer applications.
- Strong initiative and a willingness to work directly on the production floor.
- Effective problem-solving and time management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to meet U.S. Government international trade regulations as a U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident.

- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
