About the role#
This is a full-time, six-month internship for the Fall 2026 term. You will work with integrated PR and social account teams across a variety of industries. The role is designed to provide hands-on experience in creative communications, requiring a 40-hour workweek commitment. While there may be potential for a full-time transition after the program, it is not guaranteed.
What you'll do#
- Support PR and social teams on client accounts.
- Build media and creator lists by researching relevant reporters, editors, and influencers.
- Draft initial versions of pitches, press releases, social copy, and other client materials.
- Monitor media coverage and social media conversations to flag notable items.
- Assist with social content calendars and community management tasks.
- Conduct research on competitors, audiences, and cultural trends to inform planning.
- Participate in meetings, track project next steps, and keep activity trackers organized.
- Help with the logistics of product shipments, events, and client activations.
What you'll need#
- A strong interest in brands, culture, media, and social platforms.
- Ability to communicate clearly and manage multiple projects at once.
- Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and contribute your own ideas.
- No prior professional experience is required.
- A background in Communications, Public Health, Marketing, or Media Studies is relevant.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Chicago, Illinois or New York, New York.
- The work modality is hybrid, with an expectation to be in the office about once per week and attend in-person client events as needed.
- The position is paid at $19 per hour and is eligible for overtime.
- Interns working more than 30 hours per week are eligible for medical insurance and 40 hours of frontloaded paid sick time.
