About the role#
Pratt & Whitney is hiring an Electrical Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Rockford, Illinois. You will join a multi-disciplinary team focused on the development and production of aircraft power generation components. This role involves working directly with generator test labs and wind tunnels to support test equipment throughout its life cycle.
What you'll do#
- Develop test equipment and setups for aircraft power generation components.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for electrical test setups.
- Coordinate with test operators to prepare setups and collect performance data.
- Assist with facility upgrade projects.
- Design test stand safety interlocks.
- Create electrical schematics to document your designs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program in Electrical, Computer, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Active enrollment status through the end of the internship.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
