About the role#
This internship position within the Continuous Improvement department focuses on the design, development, and evaluation of integrated systems for industrial production. You will work on-site in Nampa, Idaho, during the Summer 2027 term. This is a paid, full-time role.
What you'll do#
- Provide lean manufacturing solutions for specific production processes, including lead time reduction and pull systems.
- Support short and long-range capacity planning.
- Draft and design equipment, material, and workspace layouts to improve efficiency.
- Study operations sequences and material flow to optimize manufacturing.
- Analyze production data to identify and address inefficiencies.
- Create performance reports and visualizations.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to execute your ideas.
- Modify and improve workstations and material deployment solutions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Industrial Engineering throughout the internship.
- Sophomore or Junior level status.
- Experience with AutoCAD or Draftsite.
- Proficiency in Google Applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
