About the role#
Eaton is hiring an Engineering Intern for our North Charleston, South Carolina facility. This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship. We are looking for students who are ready to learn how functional processes interact to meet goals in safety, quality, and delivery. You will work within our manufacturing team to support product development and process improvement.
What you'll do#
- Analyze manufacturing processes to improve productivity and safety.
- Create and update work instructions for various production tasks.
- Learn the details of the CNC machining process.
- Gain exposure to Lean manufacturing principles.
- Understand the financial side of the business and how engineering deliverables impact company success.
- Collaborate with team members to reach shared objectives.
- Observe how individual contributions affect the final product.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- You must be entering your junior or senior year of study.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with design software like SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Leadership experience through student projects, athletics, or community involvement.
- Ability to work well in a team while managing your own tasks.
