About the role#
The Summer Audit Internship is a full-time, paid position running for eight weeks from mid-June through early-August. You will join an industry group to work on diverse client engagements and gain hands-on experience in public accounting. Every intern is assigned an adviser to provide guidance throughout the program. You will also participate in training, community service, and firm events to build your professional network.
What you'll do#
- Assist in providing audit services to firm clients.
- Draft financial statements using prescribed formats.
- Prepare portions of compilation, review, and audit engagements.
- Conduct a market research project and present your findings to firm leadership.
- Develop professional relationships with clients and team members.
- Learn to assist clients with routine accounting functions.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 75% of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited university.
- Demonstrated progress toward CPA exam eligibility.
- Ability to travel locally to client sites at least 80% of the time.
- Reliable access to a car or public transportation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in Woburn, Massachusetts, and Boston, Massachusetts.
- Compensation is $30.00 to $32.00 per hour, depending on experience and location.
- We are only considering individuals authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
