About the role#
Piper Sandler is hiring an undergraduate intern for the Summer 2027 Public Finance program in Minneapolis. The Public Finance group provides underwriting and financial advisory services to not-for-profit entities and state or local governments. You will work with a national team that supports sectors such as healthcare, higher education, school districts, and transportation.
What you'll do#
- Create, update, and maintain Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
- Use industry software to calculate debt schedules and sources and uses.
- Attend meetings with senior staff and prepare materials to support those sessions.
- Assist the team with various projects and assignments.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate status with a graduation date in December 2027 or Spring 2028.
- Majors in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Strong analytical ability and an interest in financial markets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Tableau is helpful but not required.
