About the role#
Piper Sandler is hiring for the Fixed Income Services internship program in Minneapolis. This is a full-time, 10-week summer program designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to the fixed income business. Interns will gain exposure to municipal underwriting, credit trading, strategy, analytics, and various support functions. The program includes desk teach-ins, speaker series, and a final capstone project.
What you'll do#
- Learn about client verticals and fixed income products.
- Help the financial strategies team with specific projects.
- Work with back-office systems and support groups.
- Assist the sales team and learn how products are sold to the buyside.
- Support trading and underwriting teams with new issue and secondary market processes.
- Contribute to the publication of weekly market commentary.
What you'll need#
- Status as a rising junior or rising senior.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- An interest in financial markets.
- Willingness to prepare for and take the SIE exam.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and demonstrate leadership.
- Participation in a final capstone project and presentation.

- Pay: $21-30 per hour.
