About the role#
This is a 10-week summer internship program based at our headquarters in Newport Beach, California. You will work alongside experienced credit analysts to support coverage responsibilities across various industries and debt capital structures, including investment grade and high yield bonds, bank debt, and convertibles. The program includes a formal training period, mentorship, and opportunities to participate in our Global Month of Volunteering.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate companies and industries to provide investment recommendations to our portfolio managers.
- Provide analytical support to help portfolio managers identify and highlight risks.
- Participate in the PIMCO Fundamentals training program to build your technical and professional skills.
- Use AI tools and emerging technologies to solve problems and support your research.
- Engage in networking events and receive formal performance feedback throughout the summer.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an MBA program with a focus on Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Fluency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Demonstrated interest in financial markets, macroeconomics, and investment finance.
- Practical experience with research and basic financial modeling.
- Curiosity regarding AI tools and experience applying them to academic or professional projects.
- Ability to work on-site in Newport Beach, California.
