About the role#
As a Trade Support Analyst Intern, you will work alongside Associates to support Portfolio Management and Trading desks. You will use mathematical and fixed income training to monitor portfolios, assist in managing risk, and provide support for client assets. This role involves building internal relationships across the firm and developing tools to assist the Portfolio Management team.
What you'll do#
- Implement investment objectives across portfolios.
- Monitor portfolio positions against client guidelines.
- Coordinate with Portfolio Management on portfolio re-balancing.
- Use proprietary risk systems to monitor portfolio exposures.
- Conduct performance and attribution analyses.
- Assist with account transitions and cash flow management.
- Respond to ad hoc requests from the Portfolio Management team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program, with plans to be enrolled during the Fall 2027 semester.
- A minimum 3.2 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Business proficiency in English.
- Demonstrated advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including calculations, data formatting, and simple macro builds.
- Experience or curiosity regarding emerging technologies and AI tools to solve problems.
- Ability to begin full-time employment from a PIMCO office between January and August 2028.
