About the role#
The Portfolio Management Associate intern supports the development, presentation, and execution of investment strategies across various sectors. The primary goal is to maximize returns while remaining consistent with client objectives.
What you'll do#
- Develop, present, and execute trading strategies to optimize investment performance.
- Prepare daily research notes and provide frequent market updates.
- Participate in the development of short- and long-term financial forecasts and supporting strategies.
- Update the existing account base on market conditions, investment philosophy, and performance.
What you'll need#
- MBA or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Financial Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- 1-2 years of prior work experience.
- Fluency in English.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills with a quantitative orientation.
- Ability to apply finance and portfolio theory in practical settings.
- Experience with large data sets and familiarity with programming languages like SQL, Python, Matlab, SAS, or C++.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Newport Beach, California.
- The program runs for 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
