About the role#
The Business Development Support (BDS) team manages the coordination and submission of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) globally. This role supports the initial sales process for prospective clients and assists in servicing existing relationships. You will work alongside Account Managers, Product Strategists, and subject matter experts to produce accurate, persuasive content for clients and investment consultants.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the completion of RFPs, RFIs, and DDQs to support business growth.
- Partner with Account Management and Product Strategy teams to provide timely responses on firm-level and strategy-specific topics.
- Learn to navigate proprietary systems and databases to source, synthesize, and craft content.
- Develop a strong understanding of PIMCO's investment strategies and overall approach.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or Accounting.
- Minimum 3.2 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Business proficiency in English.
- Prior experience or college internships in a financial or client-oriented role.
- Strong interest in learning about fixed income and asset management.
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, persuasive narratives.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Newport Beach, California.
- The program runs for 10 weeks during the summer of 2027.
- Candidates must be enrolled at a university during the Fall 2027 semester.
