About the role#
As a Student Finance Officer at our Renton campus, you will guide students through the financial aid process. You will help them understand their options and manage their funding requirements. This is a full-time, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Interview prospective and continuing students to assess their needs and determine financial aid eligibility.
- Help students complete required paperwork, verify ISIRs, and package awards.
- Counsel veteran students on benefits and process them according to Department of Veterans Affairs and State Approving Agency guidelines.
- Audit student files to ensure documentation and Title IV compliance.
- Manage agency needs analysis forms and track award packaging and funding release dates.
- Document financial plans and set up private pay repayment schedules.
- Contact former students to resolve outstanding accounts.
- Work with Admissions staff to reschedule appointments.
What you'll need#
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A friendly, helpful approach with a focus on customer service and service recovery.
- Outstanding organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with database systems.
- Three years of financial aid experience, including knowledge of Title IV funding, is preferred. We will also consider an equivalent combination of training, education, or relevant experience.
Location & details#
- Location: Renton, Washington.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: $24.96 to $29.96 per hour ($51,925 to $62,310 annually).
