About the role#
The GPS Intern supports the Partnership Strategy and Service team at the Phoenix Suns. You will gain direct experience in client service and event execution while working across the Suns, Valley Suns, and Mercury organizations. This role focuses on the partnership lifecycle, from initial strategy to final delivery.
What you'll do#
- Execute partnership activations on game days, including client hospitality, in-arena elements, and promotional prizing.
- Manage pre- and post-gameday operations such as game prep, photo tagging, and digital signage tracking.
- Assist with drive-to-retail promotions, enter-to-win contests, mascot appearances, and surprise and delight moments.
- Shadow Partnership Strategy and Service representatives to learn how to manage a portfolio of accounts.
- Collaborate with internal departments and third-party vendors on events like player appearances, Fantasy Camps, and B2B gatherings.
- Complete an individual Capstone Project where you will build and present a partnership recommendation to GPS leadership.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or completion of a degree program in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Communications, Sociology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong customer service instincts and professional communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Dependable, detail-oriented work habits.
- Availability to work all home games, including evenings and weekends.
