About the role#
This 12-week summer internship offers an immersive experience within the Human Resources function at Pentair. Interns work directly with HR leaders across manufacturing operations, business units, HR Shared Services, and Centers of Excellence, including Talent, Learning & Development, and Compensation. The program is designed to build HR acumen and provide exposure to the strategic impact of HR within the organization.
What you'll do#
- Complete meaningful projects as part of an HR team that benefit the specific site, business function, or Center of Excellence.
- Participate in a variety of professional development activities, including formal mentorship, one-on-one coffee chats with leaders, and sessions with segment presidents.
- Network with the Executive Leadership Team and engage with Business Resource Groups and the Culture & Inclusion team.
- Deliver a professional presentation of project objectives, processes, and results to the leadership team at the conclusion of the program.
- Participate in a dedicated professional development week with the broader intern cohort.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a first-year graduate student pursuing a Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or Operations Management.
- Strong interest in the Human Resources Leadership Development Program, which requires relocation upon graduation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work full-time during the 12-week program.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
