About the role#
As a Plant Process Engineer Intern, you will support manufacturing operations through project work focused on process improvement, problem solving, quality enhancement, and operational efficiency. You will be given ownership of meaningful projects and work alongside experienced engineers and mentors to develop your technical, professional, and leadership skills. Your responsibilities will mirror those of an entry-level engineer.
What you'll do#
- Modify and improve manufacturing processes to improve quality, increase reliability, and reduce waste.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives using engineering methodologies.
- Develop or enhance manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling.
- Specify, design, and procure equipment required for manufacturing.
- Analyze manufacturing data and recommend solutions to improve operational performance.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Agriculture, or a related engineering discipline.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with CAD software such as Solid Edge or AutoCAD.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Location: Sioux Center, Iowa.
- Term: Summer 2027 (End of May through early August).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $27.90 per hour.
- Status: Full-time paid internship.
