About the role#
The ABA Student Analyst role provides graduate students with a path to gain hands-on experience while working toward Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification. You will balance direct service delivery with the clinical fieldwork required for your certification. This position involves working directly with children diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities under the supervision of a licensed BCBA.
What you'll do#
- Provide one-on-one behavioral intervention in home, clinic, and community settings.
- Implement behavior intervention plans and skill-building programs for communication, social, and daily living skills.
- Assist in conducting functional behavior assessments and preference assessments.
- Participate in the development and modification of treatment goals and behavior intervention plans.
- Collect, record, and analyze data regarding client behaviors and session outcomes.
- Attend regular clinical supervision meetings to review progress and build professional competencies.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to support the generalization of skills across settings.
What you'll need#
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the BACB.
- Enrollment as a graduate student in an ABA program seeking BCBA certification.
- Ability to work with children ranging from birth to age 21.
- Commitment to the program for a minimum of 6 months.
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds and perform physical movements like walking, running, and kneeling.
- Comfort working in an environment that includes interaction with farm animals.
