About the role#
Pape-Dawson is hiring a paid Landscape Design Intern for our Orlando office. This full-time summer 2027 position offers the chance to work within a multi-disciplinary firm. You will work alongside engineers and surveyors on various projects including parks, master-planned communities, retail developments, and urban spaces.
What you'll do#
- Assist with design concepts, schematic design, cost estimates, and code analysis.
- Create designs using hand graphics and software like SketchUp, Lumion, AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite.
- Refine sketches and develop designs originated by others.
- Learn to interpret construction drawings, digital mapping, and project documentation.
- Manage project communications and information.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Landscape Architecture or a related field.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Foundational experience or interest in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Knowledge of plant materials, construction techniques, and sustainable design is a plus.
