Archaeologist Intern

About the role#

This internship supports the environmental team on projects involving cultural resource management, historical preservation, and archaeological impact assessments. The role requires full-time availability, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

What you'll do#

• Assist in field surveys and data collection related to archaeological sites, artifacts, and historical resources.
• Collaborate with staff to analyze archaeological data and contribute to cultural resource reports.
• Support the development of preservation plans and archaeological impact assessments.
• Participate in the assessment and mitigation of cultural impacts associated with civil engineering projects.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, History, Geography, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• Interest in cultural resource management and historical preservation.
• Familiarity with conducting archaeological fieldwork and site surveys.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
