About the role#
Software Engineers in the Production Infrastructure organization build the foundation for our platforms. You will work on tools like Apollo, Rubix, and our internal infrastructure business line to support mission-critical workloads. You will contribute to environment platforms based on Kubernetes, fleet-wide deployment systems, and observability suites. This role involves direct collaboration with engineers and product teams to solve complex problems for civil and defense agencies.
What you'll do#
- Own the product lifecycle from initial ideas and prototypes to shipping final releases.
- Work with both technical and non-technical colleagues to identify and address customer needs.
- Partner directly with vendors or observe military exercises to see how our software functions in the field.
- Collaborate with Software Engineers, Product Managers, Designers, and Product Reliability Engineers.
- Manage your own time and priorities within a team that values autonomy over micromanagement.
What you'll need#
- An engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Statistics.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, data structures, storage systems, and front-end frameworks.
- Coding experience in languages such as Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript.
- Current status as a student planning to graduate in 2028.
- An active US Security clearance, or the eligibility and willingness to obtain one.
