Software Engineer, Internship - Production Infrastructure

About the role#

Software Engineers in the Production Infrastructure organization drive large-scale transformation through data, AI, and infrastructure that supports mission-critical workloads. You will contribute to core platforms including Rubix, Apollo, and Mission Manager, which power operations for advanced civil and defense agencies. You will be paired with a dedicated mentor to support your growth throughout the internship.

What you'll do#

• Own every phase of the product lifecycle, from generating ideas and designing prototypes to executing features and shipping releases.
• Work hand-in-hand with technical and non-technical colleagues to uncover real customer problems and deliver effective solutions.
• Gain firsthand insight by sitting side-saddle at military exercises or partnering directly with vendors to deploy software.
• Manage your own time and priorities within a collaborative team environment.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a degree program in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, or Computer Engineering, with an expected graduation date in 2028.
• Experience coding in languages such as Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with technical tools including data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, and front-end frameworks.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
• Willingness to learn independently and ask questions when needed.
