About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern in the Production Infrastructure organization, you will contribute to the platforms that support mission-critical workloads for public and private sector institutions. You will work on projects ranging from Kubernetes-based environment platforms to fleet-wide deployment and observability tools. This role offers the opportunity to own features from initial concept through to final release while collaborating with a dedicated mentor.
What you'll do#
- Own every phase of the product lifecycle, including generating ideas, designing prototypes, executing features, and shipping releases.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues to identify and solve real customer problems.
- Deliver solutions that address complex infrastructure challenges.
- Engage directly with users, potentially including site visits to military exercises or working with vendors to deploy software.
- Manage your own time and priorities effectively within a collaborative, non-micromanaged environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program with an expected graduation date in 2028.
- Academic background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, or Computer Engineering.
- Experience coding in languages such as Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with technical tools including data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, and front-end frameworks.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
