About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern in the Production Infrastructure organization, you will contribute to the platforms that power mission-critical workloads for public and private sector institutions. You will work on systems including Kubernetes-based environment platforms, fleet-wide deployment and change-management tools, and observability suites. You will be paired with a mentor to guide your professional growth throughout the internship.
What you'll do#
- Own every phase of the product lifecycle, from generating ideas and designing prototypes to executing features and shipping releases.
- Contribute high-quality code directly to production systems.
- Collaborate with a diverse group of colleagues, including Software Engineers, Product Managers, Designers, and Product Reliability Engineers.
- Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to uncover real customer problems and deliver effective solutions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an engineering-related field, specifically Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or Physics.
- Expected graduation date in 2028.
- Experience coding in languages such as Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with technical concepts including data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, and front-end frameworks.
- Active US Security clearance, or the eligibility and willingness to obtain one.
