About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern within the Defense Tech team, you will contribute to Palantir's Gotham product. You will support the delivery of defense capabilities to mission partners by building software at scale to transform how organizations utilize data. You will be paired with a dedicated mentor to support your professional growth throughout the internship.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the full product lifecycle, including idea generation, design, prototyping, execution, and shipping.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical counterparts to understand and solve customer problems.
- Build software at scale to improve data utilization for organizations.
- Support work specifically focused on delivering Palantir Defense capabilities to critical mission partners.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program with an expected graduation date in 2028.
- Engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Engineering.
- Experience coding in languages such as Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with technical tools including data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, and front-end frameworks.
- Active US Security clearance, or the eligibility and willingness to obtain one prior to the start of the internship.
