Software Engineer, Internship - Defense Tech

About the role#

As a Defense Tech Software Engineer Intern, you will contribute high-quality code to Palantir's Gotham product. You will join small, focused teams building mission-critical tools that enable users to integrate and visualize data, perform complex analyses, and develop resource allocation and operational planning software. This role provides an opportunity to work on software at scale that is relied upon for daily operations in command centers and battlefronts globally.

What you'll do#

• Support work specifically focused on delivering Palantir Defense capabilities to mission partners.
• Participate in the full product lifecycle, from idea generation, design, and prototyping to execution and shipping.
• Collaborate closely with technical and non-technical counterparts to understand and solve customer problems.
• Build software at scale to transform how organizations use data.
• Pair with a mentor dedicated to your professional growth and success.

What you'll need#

• Engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or Physics.
• Experience coding in languages such as Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, and front-end frameworks.
• Active US Security clearance, or eligibility and willingness to obtain one prior to the start of the internship.
• Must be planning on graduating in 2028.
