About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern for our Defense Tech team, you will contribute code directly to our Gotham product. You will work in small teams to build mission-critical tools for the modern warfighter. These tools enable users to integrate and visualize data, perform complex analyses, and manage resources in command centers and battlefronts. You will be paired with a mentor to support your growth throughout the internship.
What you'll do#
- Support the delivery of Palantir Defense capabilities to our mission partners.
- Participate in the full product lifecycle, including idea generation, design, prototyping, execution, and shipping.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical counterparts to understand and solve customer problems.
- Write clean, effective code and learn new languages as needed.
- Work within small teams focused on specific product aspects, such as geospatial mapping or release infrastructure.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Graduation date planned for 2028.
- Experience coding in languages like Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, and front-end frameworks.
- An active US Security clearance, or the eligibility and willingness to obtain one prior to your start date.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse team members.
