About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern for the Defense Tech team, you will contribute code to Palantir's Gotham product. You will work in small teams to build mission-critical tools that support the modern warfighter, including geospatial mapping, data integration, and resource allocation planning. You will be paired with a mentor to support your growth throughout the internship.
What you'll do#
- Support the delivery of Palantir Defense capabilities to mission partners.
- Participate in the full product lifecycle, from initial idea generation and design to prototyping, execution, and shipping.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical counterparts, including product managers, designers, and deployment strategists, to understand and solve customer problems.
- Write clean, effective code and learn new programming languages as required by project needs.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Planning to graduate in 2028.
- Experience coding in languages such as Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with technical tools including data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, and front-end frameworks.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Willingness and eligibility to obtain an active US Security clearance prior to the start of the internship.
