About the role#
As a Forward Deployed Software Engineer (FDSE) intern, you will work at the intersection of complex problems and impactful technology. You will be embedded with customers to understand their most pressing challenges and build solutions that leverage business-critical data. This role offers the autonomy of a startup combined with the resources of an established technology company. You will be treated as a full member of the engineering team, with ownership over meaningful projects that directly impact customer missions.
What you'll do#
- Build software and deliver outcomes for customers.
- Help customers deploy AI-powered solutions to address real-world problems.
- Rapidly analyze complex customer issues and architect technical solutions.
- Contribute high-quality code directly to Palantir products such as Gotham, Foundry, or Apollo.
- Work in small, agile teams to own the end-to-end execution of high-stakes projects.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing or received a degree in Engineering, preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, C++, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience applying AI through coursework, personal projects, internships, or extracurricular activities.
- Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, and front-end frameworks.
- Active U.S. security clearance, or the eligibility and willingness to obtain one.
