About the role#
Forward Deployed Software Engineers (FDSE) work directly with customers to understand complex problems and design technical solutions. As an intern, you will be treated like a full-time engineer, receiving significant freedom and ownership over your work. You will contribute to real-world projects that customers rely on, operating with the resources and stability of an established company while maintaining the autonomy of a small startup.
What you'll do#
- Work in small teams with minimal supervision to own the end-to-end execution of high-stakes projects.
- Discuss architecture with fellow engineers and establish strategy for your team.
- Manage massive-scale data and code custom web applications.
- Engage directly with customer executives to understand their operational needs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program with a planned graduation date in 2027.
- An engineering background in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, C++, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Willingness to undergo a US government background investigation, as required by specific projects.
