Forward Deployed Software Engineer, Internship

About the role#

Forward Deployed Software Engineers (FDSE) work directly with customers to understand their most complex problems and implement data-driven solutions. This internship offers the opportunity to gain insight into critical industries and institutions while contributing to real-world outcomes. Interns are treated as full-time engineers, receiving significant ownership over their work within a collaborative, small-team environment.

What you'll do#

• Own the end-to-end execution of high-stakes projects with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate on system architecture and strategy with fellow engineers.
• Wrangle large-scale data and develop custom web applications.
• Engage directly with customer executives to understand requirements and drive impact.
• Work in an environment that balances the resources of an established company with the autonomy of a startup.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a 2nd or 3rd year student at a leading Grande École, or recent graduation.
• An engineering background, specifically in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Statistics.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, C++, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to relocate to New York City for a 6-12 month period starting in October 2026.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
