    About the role#

    The Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems is looking for Student Community and Events Assistants at the New York City campus. This role involves managing the front desk, supporting office operations, and coordinating events that connect students, faculty, and staff.

    What you'll do#

    • Welcome visitors and provide helpful information.
    • Plan and develop new events, workshops, and engagement opportunities.
    • Act as the primary contact for student questions.
    • Manage office tasks, including classroom preparation.
    • Field phone calls and record detailed messages.
    • Assist with event setup and breakdown.
    • Work with faculty and staff on special projects and requests.

    What you'll need#

    • Experience with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to maintain discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
    • A friendly and patient approach when interacting with students, faculty, and guests.
    • Strong time management and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
    • A flexible and team-oriented mindset.
    • Previous office or administrative experience is preferred.

    • This position is located on-site in New York, New York.
    • The role is paid and open to current students.
    • Scheduling is flexible and will be coordinated with your class schedule.
