About the role#
The International Admission Student Assistant provides administrative support to the International Office. This is a paid, part-time position that requires working on-site in New York. You will work no more than 20 hours per week during the school session and up to 35 hours per week during breaks. Your specific schedule will be determined with your supervisor.
What you'll do#
- Greet visitors and answer questions about department procedures.
- Manage a high volume of phone calls and conduct periodic phone campaigns to students.
- Perform clerical tasks including filing, photocopying, and shredding.
- Enter and manage student data in Slate and maintain electronic files.
- Coordinate virtual and in-person student sessions, information sessions, and campus events.
- Create content videos and assist with social media marketing and engagement.
- Manage department social media platforms and communication channels like WhatsApp and WeChat.
- Respond to email and phone queries in a timely manner.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Reliability and patience when working with visitors.
- Strong customer service and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Previous office experience is a plus.
