About the role#
The Chemistry department at Pace University is hiring a Student Lab Technician to support the Lab Services and Safety Manager in Pleasantville. This is a paid, on-site, full-time student position with a schedule determined by your supervisor.
What you'll do#
- Prepare chemical reagents, supplies, and equipment for lab experiments.
- Perform routine maintenance, such as washing glassware.
- Set up labs, including stocking items like DI water, gloves, paper towels, and waste containers.
- Clean up lab spaces after experiments and return chemicals to storage.
- Keep the inventory updated.
What you'll need#
- Completed General or Organic Chemistry coursework.
- Basic laboratory skills and knowledge of safety regulations.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management skills.
