About the role#
As a Hydraulics Engineering Intern, you will assist our design engineers with mechanical engineering tasks. You will gain exposure to our internal engineering processes, design software, and the hydraulic systems used in our boom and scissor models.
What you'll do#
- Prepare vehicle component layouts using Creo and other CAD software.
- Select parts and components based on quality, cost, weight, and manufacturing needs.
- Read and interpret hydraulic schematics for boom and scissor models.
- Perform engineering calculations for flow, pressure, and performance.
- Consult with internal departments, suppliers, and customers to solve problems.
- Assist with the testing of complete vehicles and individual components.
- Analyze hydraulic and prototype test data.
- Establish testing requirements and create test plans for access equipment.
- Formulate test project estimates and oversee the construction of necessary test apparatus.
- Coordinate and monitor testing, record data, and recommend corrective actions to meet schedule and cost targets.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

- Working conditions: This role involves a mix of office-based tasks and time on the shop floor or in the field. You may need to walk on various terrains, stand, climb stairs, or lift up to 50 pounds.
