About the role#
This internship offers the opportunity to join a small team of electronics engineers and technicians in New Hudson, Michigan. You will work on projects across the automotive, defense, motorsports, aerospace, and marine industries. You will apply engineering knowledge to solve real-world problems related to design, testing, analysis, and development.
What you'll do#
- Perform engineering analysis.
- Create engineering drawings, technical reports, and specifications.
- Support the design, selection, and integration of electronic components.
- Specify wiring and PCB requirements and designs.
- Develop standard operating procedures for system use and maintenance.
What you'll need#
- Working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronic, Computer, or a related technical field.
- Experience with schematic generation tools, PCB design, and harness design.
- Knowledge of CAN-based control systems, including architecture, programming, and diagnostics.
- Basic programming experience in languages such as Simulink, C++, Python, or Visual Basic.
- Experience with CAD software and 3D printing.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
- Excellent mechanical ability and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in a Microsoft Windows environment.
- Reliable mode of transportation.
- Participation in collegiate-level design competitions like Formula SAE, Baja SAE, First Robotics, or Solar Car is preferred.

- Term: Summer 2027.
- Status: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
