About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will support senior engineering staff with vehicle control and wire harness development. You will work on projects of limited complexity, performing engineering calculations and investigations under close supervision. This role balances office-based tasks with hands-on work in production environments.
What you'll do#
- Assist with engineering tasks and projects to gain practical experience.
- Select components based on weight, cost, reliability, and manufacturing needs.
- Support the development of wire harnesses using 3D modeling software like Windchill and analytical circuit tools.
- Create print documentation and process engineering information through change notices and proposals.
- Consult with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to solve technical problems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program for Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Experience with wire harness design.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and clear oral and written communication.
- A willingness to perform hands-on work across various project phases.
