About the role#
The Data Systems Intern will join the Emerging Technology division at OUC. You will work with the Data Delivery and Analytics team to help manage data ecosystems and support strategic technology planning.
What you'll do#
- Partner with cloud architects and business leaders to support strategic planning and financial forecasting for SaaS usage.
- Evaluate the current data ecosystem to identify gaps in data quality, controls, and risk exposure.
- Define and implement scalable data quality rules and risk mitigation controls.
- Collaborate with engineering and business teams to integrate quality and risk frameworks into data pipelines and governance practices.
- Document data lineage, establish standards, and develop a domain-oriented data architecture.
- Build models and dashboards that provide insights for technology expansion, migration strategies, and data product success.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at an accredited college or university as a Senior or Master student.
- Academic focus in Systems and Industrial Engineering, Data analytics, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or Engineering Management.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Strong academic foundation in Systems Architecture, Process and Simulation, IT Integration, and Predictive Analytics.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and an analytical approach to problem-solving.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Orlando, Florida.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 11, 2027 to May 7, 2027).
- Modality: Hybrid schedule.
- Compensation: $18 - $21 per hour depending on education level.
- Status: Paid, full-time (up to 40 hours per week).
