About the role#
Open Road Integrated Media is seeking a part-time, for-credit Content Writing Intern for the Fall 2026 semester. This role supports the editorial teams across a network of digital properties including The Portalist, The Lineup, A Love So True, The Archive, Murder & Mayhem, and Early Bird Books. Interns will receive bylines, develop editorial judgment, and gain experience working within a content management system.
What you'll do#
- Research potential story ideas.
- Write pitches and articles for various websites.
- Conduct search engine optimization research.
- Source photos for digital content.
- Learn best practices for SEO and editorial content management.
What you'll need#
- Availability of 16-24 hours per week during the fall semester.
- Eligibility to receive academic credit for the internship.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented and organized approach to tasks.
- Previous experience in writing, editing, or digital media is a plus.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site at the Manhattan office in New York, New York.
- Interns must be able to work on-site two days per week.
- This is an unpaid, for-credit internship.
