Content Writing Intern (PT/For-Credit)

About the role#

Open Road Integrated Media is seeking a part-time, for-credit Content Writing Intern to support its network of digital properties, including The Portalist, The Lineup, A Love So True, The Archive, Murder & Mayhem, and Early Bird Books. This role focuses on developing editorial judgment and writing skills across various audiences. Interns will receive bylines and gain hands-on experience with content management systems and SEO best practices.

What you'll do#

• Research story ideas and pitch content for the company's websites.
• Write articles and stories for publication.
• Conduct research for search engine optimization.
• Source photos for digital content.
• Learn to operate within a content management system.

What you'll need#

• Availability of 16-24 hours per week during the fall semester.
• Eligibility to receive academic credit for the internship.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Previous experience in writing, editing, or digital media is considered a plus.

• Location: New York, NY (On-site in the Manhattan office).

• Commitment: This is a part-time, unpaid, for-credit internship requiring on-site attendance two days per week.
