About the role#
We are looking for a Social Media Marketing Intern to join our remote team. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling start date. You will work directly with our marketing team to build our presence and engage our community.
What you'll do#
- Create content for social media, including reels, shorts, posts, hooks, thumbnails, and captions.
- Manage our bench of freelance video editors by writing briefs, selecting references, and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Grow and manage our Discord community by welcoming new members and starting conversations.
- Write all email communications, from welcome sequences to product announcements and re-engagement campaigns.
- Write ad copy based on performance data.
- Analyze metrics like views, saves, and signups to understand which posts perform well and why.
What you'll need#
- Experience running a social media account, whether personal, for a friend, or a club. Please provide links and real numbers.
- Ability to articulate your design choices and explain why a specific thumbnail or post works.
- Experience using AI tools for actual work, such as automating tasks or streamlining content creation.
- Strong, concise writing skills for short-form content.
- Current knowledge of social media trends and platform formats.
- Majors in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or Graphic Design are preferred.
