About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in construction administration and management. You will work alongside our staff on civil infrastructure projects, including public utilities, heavy highways, municipal streets, airports, and water treatment facilities. This position is for the Summer 2027 term and is based in Lincoln, Nebraska.
What you'll do#
- Assist with construction management, administration, observation, and inspection tasks.
- Inspect work and perform tests to confirm it meets project requirements.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and codes.
- Identify potential safety hazards on project sites.
- Develop skills in project documentation, contractor management, and communication with clients and stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for construction management, civil engineering, construction engineering, surveying, or a related field.
- A valid driver's license and a good driving history.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in varied weather and terrain conditions.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner.
