About the role#
We are looking for engineering interns to join our team for the Fall 2026 term. This is an on-site role where you will be embedded within a small team. You will work on actual vehicle systems, write code, design hardware, and see your results in the lab or in the water. We hire across software, electrical, mechanical, and hardware engineering tracks. You will be matched to a project based on your skills and interests, but you should expect to learn and contribute across engineering boundaries.
What you'll do#
- Own a meaningful project with real deliverables that contribute to our vehicle program.
- Work alongside full-time engineers on day-to-day design, build, and test activities.
- Participate in design reviews, team standups, and engineering discussions.
- Get hands-on with hardware, including assembling boards, machining parts, running tests, or deploying systems in the water.
- Present your work and results to the engineering team at the end of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Ocean Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- A genuine interest in building physical systems that operate in the real world.
- Foundational skills relevant to your track, such as CAD, circuit design, embedded programming, or full-stack development.
- Comfort working in a small-team environment where you will be trusted with responsibility.
- U.S. Citizenship.
