About the role#
The Business Development & Innovation team at NY Green Bank seeks an intern to support our clean energy investment efforts. You will help us identify new market opportunities, build relationships with financial institutions, and refine our debt products. This role provides exposure to public-private investment models and project finance.
What you'll do#
- Research energy storage, clean transportation, and building electrification markets and policies.
- Support deal origination by researching prospective developers and investment opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Investment and Portfolio Management team on internal coordination.
- Create briefing materials, internal memos, and presentation decks for senior leadership.
- Maintain internal databases and trackers to ensure data accuracy.
- Perform company, technology, and sector analysis to guide strategy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college pursuing a degree in business administration, economics, finance, or a related field.
- Interest in clean energy, climate policy, or infrastructure development.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel.
Location & details#
- This position is based in New York, NY.
- The role is hybrid, following our telework policy.
- This is a paid, part-time internship of up to 18.5 hours per week.
- The term runs from Fall 2026 through December 2026, with a possibility of extension into Spring 2027.
